Cédric is a founding partner of Black River. With Black River, Cedric brings 20 years of experience in investment funds, governance and multi-management excellence to Africa Green Fund's stakeholders.

Prior to founding Black River, Cedric spent his entire career in wealth management, asset management, and corporate consulting. He held executive positions at Novacap AM, BNP Paribas Fortis, Foyer Patrimonium & Associés and Patrimonia Finance.

In 2000, Cédric created at Foyer Patrimonium & Associés his first investment funds managed by himself in multi-manager funds and by JP Morgan Asset Management, later he was appointed Chief Investment Officer.

In 2012, he set up the first Luxembourg fund of Prosperity Capital with Edmond de Rothschild Asset Management.

In 2016, following the acquisition of Patrimonia by a group of private investors, he reiterates and reforms a range of funds co-managed with Rothschild, Crédit Agricole and Pictet Wealth Management.

In addition to his activities in market finance, Cédric has always had an eye for private equity and has invested in several technology-oriented start-ups (Neuroplanet, Gambit Financial Solutions and Barefoot Startup Studio among others).

Education: Cédric graduated from the University of Louvain-La-Neuve (Commercial and Management Engineering).

Yousra is a founding partner of Black River. Yousra wants to establish Black River as a player in sustainable development and the circular economy in Africa.

She is initially co-responsible for overseeing the global strategy and responsible for the portfolio of carbon projects within the Black River group which she manages with the technical team.

Yousra brings her African experience and network to the creation of Black River. She is responsible for the design and monitoring of the business processes and co-responsible for sourcing opportunities as Operational Director.

She has over 15 years of industry experience, having been a director of an independent luxury travel group.

She has extensive experience in advising companies and investors seeking opportunities in emerging markets as well as local companies in managing and restructuring their product and service offerings.

She also oversees the digitization of the company, including the development of its own Blockchain, to support and organize its growth, structuring back-office functions from projects to commercial activity.

Yousra co-founded and managed a social economy technology startup.

Education: In 2002, Yousra graduated from IATA/UFTAA in Montreal - Universal Federation of Travel Agent Associations with a bachelor's degree in business management.

Raphael has a strong profile in both independent governance and knowledge of the key Luxembourg financial instruments: Funds and Bonds. These were the main reason why the Black River Founders offered him to team up and ensure that Black River main Luxembourg ventures, its Fund, its General Partner and its Securitization company would benefit 25 years of experience and a wealth of expertise for the guarantee to all stakeholders of a Best-in-class service and accountability.

He has more than 20 years of experience in Fund industry in Luxembourg. Before create OWL Advisory S.A., he worked for several major actors of Luxembourg market: JPMorgan, Lombard International Assurance, RBCDexia Investors Services or Eurizon Capital.

With a cross-professional experience, Raphaël has in fact covered two pillars of Luxembourg finance: fund administration and fiduciary world. This allows him focus client's needs and offer the best solutions.

Raphael was in charge of the creation and launch several funds regulated or under the light regime (SCSp) dedicated to Real Estate, Private Equity, Loans or more Forestry assets. He also supported several Scandinavian and Asian sovereign funds in establishing their Luxembourg fund subsidiaries.

Raphael Setup as a special limited partnership, a full support and strategic guidance was provided to our clients: the risk management, regulatory documentation, administration, legal documentation and directorship accompaniment.

Alain is a shipping executive with more than 20 years' experience. He decided these last years to specialize in the carbon markets.

He has extensive experience in shipping decarbonization and a proven track record in ship's CO2 emissions tracking and compensation (voluntary carbon market).

He has undertaken different executive roles in third party ship management ranging from corporate finance to internal audit and project finance and was the CEO of a Swiss based ship owning company.

He is now the founder and CEO of PNZ 2050, a decarbonization advisory company specializing in shipping and logistics industries and Director of Black River.

Education: He studied Hotel Management at EHL and then finance at HEC Lausanne and, during his professional career did specialize in ship finance at the Cambridge University and in risk management at the Institute of Internal Audit UK and Ireland.

Quentin accompanies and invests his energy in innovative projects that encourage the sharing of ideas, impulses and skills for a more fair, sustainable and resilient future.

He advocates a systemic approach where respect for nature and its own nature are central.

To avoid systemic collapse and enable everyone to live a dignified and fulfilling life, he works to build glocal communities where sustainable development becomes a reality through collective intelligence and participatory management.

He is fond of disruptive approaches that solve many of the conflicts of the current economic system.

Quentin accompanies all types of organizations, private, association and institutional, as an organizational coach. He helps management and employees to structure themselves in an agile and positive way by using his skills in coaching, community management, collective intelligence, agile processes and conscious leadership.
